Services Offered:
Initial Assessment: During the initial assessment, I conduct a thorough evaluation of your horse's physical condition, movement patterns, and areas of tension or discomfort. This assessment allows me to tailor the massage session to your horse's individual needs.
Follow-Up Sessions: 4-6 weeks after the initial assessment, I offer follow-up massage sessions to maintain the health and vitality of your horse. These sessions focus on releasing tension, improving circulation, and promoting relaxation, contributing to your horse's overall well-being and performance.
Grooming
With 5 years of professional grooming experience, I have a vast knowledge of everything that happens behind the scenes, especially when it comes to showing, and the stress that creates. I am here to help alleviate some of your stress and help manage time and tasks.
Services Offered:
Show Grooming (Full Day): Hiring a show groom can help lower the competitor’s stress level, and insure that you are on time for all of your rides for the day. My comprehensive show grooming service includes bathing, braiding, studding, tacking, time management, and post ride care for the horse. This may include icing legs, wrapping and anything else your horse needs.
Braiding: Whether you're preparing for a competition or a special event, my braiding service adds the perfect finishing touch to your horse's appearance. My traditional button braiding technique creates beautiful, uniform braids that enhance your horse's overall presentation. Scalloped, running braids, and tail braiding is also available.
Mane Pulling: Proper mane maintenance is essential for insuring a mane can be neatly braided. My mane pulling service removes excess hair to achieve a tidy and manageable mane, enhancing your horse's aesthetic appeal.
Tailbone Trim: My tailbone trimming service tidies up your horse's tailbone area, creating a clean and streamlined appearance. This grooming detail adds to your horse's overall presentation, ensuring a professional and polished look. I do not pull tails.
Body Clipping
Body clipping is an essential grooming practice for horses, especially during the colder months for horses in regular work and show horses. At Knots & Kneads Equine Massage, I offer expert clipping services to keep your horse looking and feeling their best year-round. Body clipping can be especially useful to horses with Cushing’s and those prone to fungus breakouts.
Services Offered:
Bath: Using gentle, horse-safe products, I ensure that your horse's coat is properly prepped, clean all the way down to the skin, and ready for clipping or grooming.
Full Body Clipping: My full body clipping service removes excess hair from your horse's entire body, providing a clean and tidy appearance. This clipping option is ideal for horses in heavy work, those with thick coats, or prone to fungus that require regular maintenance.
Hunter Clip: The hunter clip is a popular style that leaves hair on the legs and saddle patch while removing excess hair from the rest of the body. This clip is suitable for horses in moderate to heavy work and provides a neat and practical appearance.
Blanket Clip: The blanket clip leaves hair on the legs, saddle area and back, while removing hair from the neck, belly and lower flanks. This clipping option is suitable for horses in moderate work and helps regulate body temperature during exercise.
Trace Clip: The trace clip removes hair from the underside of the neck, belly, and chest, leaving hair on the entire top line, legs and half of their sides. This clipping style is ideal for horses in light to moderate work and provides targeted cooling during exercise.
Irish Clip: The Irish clip removes hair from the underside of the neck, belly, and chest, leaving hair on the legs, rump and top line. This clip creates a straight line from stifle to poll, giving your horse a more up hill appearance. This clip is suitable for horses in moderate work and provides warmth while allowing for efficient cooling.
Half Dipped Cookie: The half dipped cookie clip is a specialized clip that Knots & Kneads offers. This clip removes the hair from the entire neck, and lower belly. This clip forms a line from the stifle to the wither. Suitable for horses in light to moderate work.
Designs: If you are interested in having a design clipped into your horse, please let me know ahead of time so we can work together to make sure you are happy with the final result.
